NFTs and Red Packets
Essentials includes built-in support for viewing and managing NFTs, claiming BPoS staking NFTs, and sharing crypto gifts through red packets.
Viewing NFTs
NFT collections appear on your wallet home screen below the token list for any EVM-compatible chain. Essentials supports both ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards.
Tap a collection to browse individual NFTs. Each NFT shows:
- Image -- the NFT artwork or media
- Name and token ID
- Description -- the NFT's metadata description
- Attributes -- traits and properties attached to the NFT
Sending NFTs
You can send NFTs to another address directly from any NFT detail screen. Tap Send, enter the recipient address, review the transaction, and confirm. The same address resolution that works for token transfers (domain names, CryptoName, etc.) also works for NFT transfers.
BPoS NFTs
On the Elastos Smart Chain, BPoS staking can generate claimable NFTs that represent staking positions or rewards. Access the BPoS NFT claiming screen from your ESC wallet settings.
Red Packets
Red packets are a crypto gift feature where you can create and share packets containing tokens for others to claim.
Creating a Red Packet
Open the Red Packets section from the home screen widget or the app menu, then configure your packet:
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Message | Custom greeting |
| Token & amount | Any token in your wallet |
| Recipients | Number of people who can claim |
| Distribution | Fixed (equal split) or Random (varying amounts) |
| Visibility | Public (visible to all) or Link-only (private) |
| Duration | How long the packet stays open |
Confirm and pay. This may involve two transactions: one for the service fee and one for the token amount.
Red packet creation is disabled by default on iOS. Enable it in Settings > Privacy > Enable creation of red packets. Claiming works on all platforms without any extra setup.
Claiming and Expiration
When you receive a red packet link or see a public one, tap to open it. A captcha verification prevents automated claiming. After passing the captcha, the tokens are sent to your wallet.
If a red packet expires before all tokens are claimed, the remaining unclaimed tokens are automatically refunded to the creator's wallet.
